Must say, energy levels are feeling low again this week. Monday was great, it was pouring rain, so I didn’t run, I just went to the gym and rode the bike then I lifted, and felt awesome! Tuesday was fun because I went out to Ulta (which I honestly don’t like nearly as much as Sephora, lets be real), and I got a bunch of stuff, but when I got home around 2-ish, I was not feeling like myself. I was ready to take a nap. I was at least able to self motivate enough to pick up a bit, take care of my plants and what not, but not enough motivation to get to the gym.
I honestly do feel like I have a hormonal imbalance, I have been told by several doctors that my thyroid is a potential issue, and I am on the higher side of “normal” but I’m not extreme enough to get any resolve. It really sucks, there is not much that is worse than going through the day and feeling like you are hazy, plus I refuse to drink caffeine so I don’t even get a coffee high.
Maybe I should just go outside more? Get as much vitamin D as I can to hopefully absorb some energy from the sun. I do notice that I feel better when I have a very large amount of fruits and veggies in my diet, and that I need to keep things that are processed and also meat items out of my food as much as possible. It was crazy, the other night I had 4 ounces of chicken breast, and literally 5 minutes later I was ready to pass out I was so tired. After eliminating it from my diet for the most part (about 95% of the time) it really hits hard when you try and add something back in.
Today is a new day though, and I am determined!! I had a good breakfast (about 2 servings of honey nut cheerios with almond milk), and I just had a small snack of a bagel thin, so hopefully that starts getting processed as energy in the next few minutes, and then I’ll be off to go for (hopefully!) a good run. I’ll make myself a lunch of Nuttzo and banana sandwich (Sasha-20 for 20% off Nuttzo), and then off to the gym to lift aaaalll the weights since I need to make up for yesterdays missed session!
I hope you all are having a wonderful week! Anyone else feeling the low energy woes like me?
